Shocking (with updates)

More updates:

Philippine government expels massacre suspect

Death toll at 57

Gunmen arrested

OFW Muslims condemn massacre

World condemns Maguindanao massacre

(With updates at the bottom)

Journalists, 2 lawyers, 30 others abducted by Asian Correspondent

Maguindanao massacre by Tribo’s cup

At least 30 dead by ABS-CBN

These greedy and amoral politicians deserve to be killed just like how they killed 30 innocent people of Maguindanao. But two wrongs don’t make a right. What would be the impact of another political massacre on the economic and social structure of the province? I think the situation would only worsen. If only there was a way to pressure these kinds of people into leaving their prominent positions without any bloodshed.

No wonder people from the rest of the Philippines and around the world have such a bad view of Mindanao. Extreme violence in the southern regions by political dynasties, organized crime, terrorists, and rebels hamper the development and disrupt the peace in these areas.

It disturbs me even more knowing that this incident happened just another province away from my home in Bukidnon.

The Philippines is dangerous place for journalists.

Pinoys, do you Juana Change?!

Lyrics (with translation):

Sawang sawa na ako sa buhay na ito (I’m so tired of this life)

Laging bugbog-sarada sa panggagago (Always beaten down by chicanery)

Ang siyang inaasahan aayos ng bayan (Those who are expected to fix the country)

Ayon at nauuna pa’ng bayan ay nakawan (Instead they lead in robbing the nation)

Refrain:

Kawawa naman itong bayan natin (Our pitiful country)

Hindi makaahon, gapang pa rin (It can’t rise up, it still crawls)

Walang kasing patid pagsasamantala (Usury without bounds)

Ginagawang alkansya ng mga buwaya (It’s turned into a piggy bank for the crocodiles)

Chorus:

I Juana Change, Juana Change (I wanna change wanna change)

Para n’yo nang awa, samahan n’yo ako (Have mercy, accompany me)

I Juana Juana Change, Juana Change (I wanna wanna change, wanna change)

I Juana Change, Juana Change (I wanna change wanna change)

I Juana Juana Change, Juana Change (I wanna wanna change, wanna change)

Baboo mga demonyo, imbyerna na ang tao (Goodbye demons, the people are sick of you)

We Juana Juana Change (We wanna wanna change)

(Repeat Refrain)

(Repeat chorus)

Ayokong maghintay hanggang ako’y lola na (I don’t want to wait until I become a grandmother)

Ulyanin na, pagbabago…now na (Forgetful, change…it has to be now)

Tindignation…now na (Stand up, nation…it has to be now)

Backup: Now na, now na! (It has to be now, now!)

I Juana Change (I wanna change)

Backup: Now na, now na! (It has to be now, now!)

(Repeat Chorus)
